Our Mission
The Edward J. Overstreet Center for Excellence in Children’s Services exists to advocate, promote, develop and support excellence in services to children at-risk of or involved in the child welfare, juvenile justice and mental health systems. The Center is a collaboration of research and practice that emphasizes the utilization of information to improve clinical practice, program outcomes and advocacy for vulnerable children and their families.

Our Purpose
The Edward J. Overstreet Center for Excellence in Children's Services offers the following services to both private and public child serving organizations.

• Promote and assist children’s organizations in developing the capacity to utilize information to improve practice and outcomes.
• Promote and assist children’s organizations in the development of empirically based interventions.
• Promote and assist children’s organizations in utilizing information to advocate for children’s issues.
